healthy toys in time for the holidays

By now you may have heard news stories about certain toys being found to have high levels of lead or other materials of concern (here is a US News & World Report article from last week).

The new “healthy toy” report was released last week, just in time for the holidays. My son just turned 3 last week and x-mas is just around the corner so I have been spending my fair share of time on this site.

It is the best single resource I’ve found to see if the toys I’m considering contain any materials that are of concern for children’s health (e.g. lead, arsenic, etc) – thought this might be helpful for other parents as well. You can search by toy name, brand, etc. Lots of other great information there too. Healthy shopping and Happy Holidays!
