greener schools = healthier kids: how to make changes at your child’s school

Last week I had dinner with a woman who had worked with her son’s school in NYC to ‘green’ the classrooms.  She is a doctor who was new to the subject.  The more she learned, the more determined she became to make changes.

She started with cleaning products.

The school’s response was encouraging and many changes have been made.  In fact, a committee now exists to look at further greening the school.
